Interrogator Von Haffen,

The first few weeks on Iocanthos have proven themselves quite eventful. Though we have not yet compiled enough information on the mysterious Voicer, my squad and I are well on our way to understanding the situation at hand.

Our arrival on the spaceport was not as smooth as I would have liked. Within mere moments, in the search for information, Acolyte D’jinn Soloman found himself in a scuffle with quite a few of the locals. Had it not been for my direction, and the ultimate assistance of Kor, Paris, and myself, we would be missing a member already. In this effort to save Soloman’s hide, Kor and I were apprehended by local authorities, as you may already know. This setback was quite unfortunate, but we were able to return to the task at hand fairly quickly.

Soon enough, we followed a lead to arrive at a town recently raided by the Voicer. The entire town was ravaged, and the inhabitants had been burned at a pyre in the town-centre. There was a strong proclamation of ‘death to all heretics’, but at the same time, there were questionable etchings in the ground around the pyre. Though none of us could read these glyphs, I wouldn’t be too surprised if they had heretical origins themselves. No amount of interaction would garner a response from them, but they seemed to sway back and forth on the ground. Unable to learn anything further, and after restocking on supplies, we moved onwards, following a trail that lead us to the Voicer’s camp.

Again under my leadership, Paris and I were able to infiltrate his camp in the guise of supporters, while I had Kor and Soloman stay hidden, away from the camp. The Voicer was, at the time, inducting many other new supporters, and Paris and I were added to his audience. As he spoke of his plans to invade yet another town, I intervened. He seemed convinced that the town was tainted, and I merely questioned as to how he was so certain. Saying that the Emperor had told him so, he put me in charge of his new recruits – an army 150 strong – and set me with the task to cleanse the town of its heresy.

I set Kor and Soloman ahead to scout out the town before my army and I arrived at its gates. From what they reported, it was a very devout town, and there were no signs of heretical activities. Unfortunately, for the greater good of the mission at hand, I had to continue on with the Voicer’s request – being in good standing with him would make it easier to extract information from him. Fortunately, Kor and Soloman were able to evacuate a few of the townspeople before we arrived. Upon our arrival, and under my command, we were able to swiftly end the battle. We suffered minimal losses, and Kor and Soloman proved themselves to be quite courageous. Of course, a victory like this is only to be expected, given my history with the Guard.

At the end of this battle, however, the Voicer’s men rounded up the town’s survivors into a Church, and asked me to set it alight. I was told that the Church was tainted, but without any evidence, I refused to perform such an act. A few innocent lives may be sacrificed for a larger goal, but such an act of heresy is not required. At this time, Paris seemed more than eager to take my stead, and set the Church on fire, killing all the survivors within it. I am not sure what to think of him, considering this act. On the one hand he helped me out of the situation, on the other, he burned down a Church of the Emperor – unfitting of a cleric, I would think.
At the moment, we are marching back to the Voicer’s camp. Perhaps the following weeks will be more conclusive in terms of these investigations. As of now, I have nothing further to report.

For the Emperor,
Six

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
